We know that editing can be very tricky to teach, time consuming for the students and make the real difference with a final production (and grades!).
That is why we have created the Edusites Editing Workshop.
Depending on how well equipped your centre is, we can model production work and provide opportunities for students to be creative too. We will work with you and your resources to provide a session that improves the learners’ needs.
Or if you would like a session for you and your colleagues, the Editing Day Workshop can be based around teaching you to teach them, and how to plan editing into your schemes of work. We can also help with procurement and give you inspiration for other editing projects for your classes, department and community.
There is also an Editing Half Day Workshop. This is a more concise version of the full day, but we will try to accommodate your needs as much as possible.
Overview
A typical Editing Day Workshop would include:
- Modelling of editing programmes and editing techniques
- Securing of editing language
- Practical demonstration
- Supervision and guidance for learners
Edusites Experts are all experienced teachers of editing.
Cost
- Full Day Editing Workshop costs £400 + travel expenses.
- Half Day Editing Workshop costs £275 + travel expenses.

System Requirements
- Films are in standard definition DV PAL format, 4:3 aspect ratio.
- Hard disc space: 4.11 GB to install everything, 3.43Gb to install all the practice films. They can be installed individually.

- 50 User education price £99
- 100 User Educational price £199
These are for use on either Mac or PC. We offer a ‘mixed license’ option for an extra £10 on these prices, where we supply a copy of both the Mac and PC discs.
